How we are the Hands and Feet of Jesus: the Missions & Social Concerns of BJUMC
M+SC BookInvite.png

In an effort to align ourselves with the Mission Statement of BJUMC and the mission statement of our Team, we are reading this book prior to beginning our work in 2023. Our goal is to better understand what it means to be in mission for our community and beyond. The book is available through the town library system and at many booksellers. We welcome anyone who would like to join us in our discussions and planning for mission work at BJUMC. Please contact Terri at dowie0101@aol.com if interested!

Mission Statement:

"To serve God by Serving the World”. We recognize the call of Jesus upon all of our lives, as seen in Matthew 25:35–40, to meet the diverse needs of our community which are varied through a mixture of physical needs, emotional needs, social needs and spiritual needs. We seek to embody Christ by actively meeting the needs of our community, near and far, in real, tangible, and impactful ways.
