our associate pastor Taylavor fugate
Originally from Southwest Virginia, TayLavor Fugate is a New Jersey transplant by way of pursuing her Master of Divinity at Drew Theological School of Drew University where she is on track to become an elder in the United Methodist Church. She is also currently serving as the United Methodist Campus Minister at Rutgers University. As a lifelong member of the United Methodist Church, she has discovered a passion for building relationships with others through her 10+ years of experience in several different ministry areas including worship/arts, children, youth, young adult, and camp/retreat ministries. While earning a Bachelor of Science Degree in Recording Industry at Middle Tennessee State University, she nurtured and developed this passion through serving alongside a group of leaders who re-launched the MTSU Wesley Foundation while also serving in different capacities at Cedar Crest Camp. These, among other key ministry experiences have greatly shaped and influenced TayLavor’s faith as a follower of Christ. She is elated to be apart of the community at Bishop Janes United Methodist Church!
