UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
PURPOSE: This fund helps support 12 Black Colleges historically related to United Methodism, which is a special and unique ministry of the church. Ten are senior colleges, one is a junior college, and one is a medical school. The fund assists in many ways, including salaries, endowment, buildings, libraries, and student aid.

UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
PURPOSE: This fund supports ministerial recruitment and education for 13 United Methodist-related theological schools within the United States. 25% of the receipts from the fund remain in the conference for scholarships for seminary training and continuing education; while 75% goes to the General Conference to strengthen theological education programs of seminaries.

INDIVIDUAL GIFTS-HURRICANE RELIEF, UNITED METHODIST WOMEN
PURPOSE: World Service is Bishop Jane's portion of the Conference's share of the basic support for the national and worldwide mission of the United Methodist Church. The World Service Fund is the lifeblood of general (national and international) program agencies of the church. It is the basic support for these agencies in their work as extensions of local churches in action in the national and world arenas. About 45 percent of the world service fund supports ministry and mission through the General Board of Global Ministries. Through this fund, every United Methodist can be a part of mission outreach throughout the world-Conference Benevolence's support. This support covers three programming boards, six commissions, the Council on Ministries in the Northern New Jersey Conference, and agencies such as the New Jersey Council of Churches, area campus ministries, Drew University, Madison, New Jersey, and Centenary College.

PURPOSE: This assessment supports the United Methodist Church's plan to build Africa University in Zimbabwe . The vision is to construct a university, which will train the next generation of African leaders. The funds collected support the construction of the University buildings.
